John's Day Off

John had a day off from training camp if you can really call it that. They got in from playing Kansas City at 4:00 AM (Dolphins 11 - Chiefs 10) and then had to report back to camp at 11:00 tonight. We made the most of the part of the day we had. John caught up on some sleep and then we headed off to Dania beach with the Clarks. It was a beautiful afternoon and the water was sooo nice. There were a couple of weirdos by us though. Some random guy asked John if he would play Frisbee with him. After about 15 minutes of slightly awkward Frisbee throwing the guy took off. Then this dude sitting right next to us was a little too interested in what we were doing and gave us the heebie jeebies. We made sure the guys stuck right by the kids. Other than all that...great day at the beach. By the way, here is the link to the bit that the Dolphins did on John snapping that my family has been asking to see! His segment starts at around minute 9:30 in the clip. For some reason the audio is really quiet so turn it all the way up. The whole fam makes an appearance. John works hard and plays hard and that's why we love him! Try this link first: John's Snapping Bit. If that doesn't work try this one: John's Snapping Bit-2 . (To my family- you probably already have realplayer on your computer so you probably don't have to download it)

Annie,
I actually caught it on all of the practice shots. For the real deal I kept dropping it but I think John was throwing it harder too!

Looks like you had a nice day. That's kinda creepy about the guy asking to play frisbee......funny though. I love the mermaid tail in the sand. That's cute. You are so lucky to be close to the beach!

Christy, it is so good to hear from you! Talk about leaving our Bay Harbor days behind-- Tucson was a real shocker!! We had a great time though and also have fond memories. It's good to be back in Utah, where I never thought we'd come back to. Looks like you're doing great, your boys are so handsome! Florida looks beautiful!

Christy! Thanks for finding me! I drove my newphew to school at Poston and when I went by your house I had total flashbacks! It looks like you are doing good! That is so fun! Be sure to see the reunion site toros98.blogspot.com too.. Can you believe its been 9 years! My sister still does Meaghan's hair so I get updates from her, but I haven't seen D since college! I know she had a baby about the same time as I had my first tho. Do you remember all the fun we used to have at Panda's (not the chinese food place) oh, how I wish it was still open! Keep in touch! heartbabyboutique@cox.net

Christy,
We loved the footage...great catch! Rick was impressed. Hey-I am trying to make the background on my blog cuter and I love yours. Would you please tell me how to customize my template (background) and header? You can email me at mauri.winder@gmail.com if that is easier. Thanks!

Christy, You seriously have to take that cake picture off your blog. Every time I look at it I start craving cake. With lots of thick frosting. (you know the kind that is on wedding cakes!) Now I am going to have to go get some cake. They have great cheap, crisco, frosting cakes at Walmart.
