A couple early resolutions for the New Year

I am afraid of rejection. I don't like to put myself out there unless I know I am going to get a positive response. One of my New Year's resolutions (and I have many this year) is to say hi on people's blogs that I frequent! I'm not talking about blog drifting and I'm not talking about people on my friends list but people who have blogs that I visit often that I haven't seen in years and I am afraid to say anything to because I think they will think I am weird. I know...I can be such a girl sometimes. Guys would never think that far into it, would they. I guess it's weirder to silently stalk their blogs, right? You know you all do it...or I am the only one? I challenge all of you out there to do the same. Chances are, if you are looking at mine, I'm looking at yours.

Another one of my resolutions is less Self Editing. I understand that a little self editing is healthy but it seems that everybody is so worried about being politically correct that we tend to gloss over everything and quite frankly it is boring and nauseating. See, normally I would hit, "delete, delete, delete" after writing that and the above paragraph. Here's to the New Year. Props to my friend Nikki who always tells it like it is. It's very refreshing!

Christy, I love it. I'm the SAME way and even though I love when people comment on my blog, I'm usually the last to comment on someone else's. I'm taking the challenge...Thanks for the inspiration! :)

You are hilarious! Of course we all secretly look at peoples blogs who aren't on our friends list! That is what is so fun about the blogs! When I get bored at work I'm always going through other peoples friends links to see if there is anyone I know! I LOVE IT! Maybe I will start making a comment too! :)

Hey Christy, I can't remember where I have found the Ekrich sausage. I just use whatever smoked sausage I can find - usually Hillshire Farm or something like that is what I buy most often because it is really common. Whatever you find is fine, just make sure it is smoked. Also for the black beans, it is best to get a good quality like Whole Foods or something if you can so they don't fall apart. Hope you like it!

Love your new years resolutions. I gave those up a long time ago so I didn't feel like I failed when I never completed any!

You are so adorable! Seriously, thanks for the post! It's really neat to see what you and your cute family are doing in Fl. I love finding friends that I haven't talked to in ages!

I'm the exact same way with blogs, most of the time! I feel silly, but why? Oh well, I hope I can live up to your example! :)

Hi Christy, it's the other Kristy Denney (soon to be) I love your blog, it's seriously so cute! I'm a beginner at this so maybe you can give me some tips, advice, or help on all this blogging stuff (I hear you are the expert!!) I also hear you're a chocolate lover...I love that!!! Every time I'm sneakin' chocolate into my pockets or trying to get Brett to eat some so I feel better about myself, Brett says "That's something Christy would do!" Haha! Anyways, I'm excited to meet your family, I've heard nothing but great things!
