Our weekend with Grandpa Denney

John's dad has been in town on business and has had a chance to hang out with us! Grandpa won Austin over by pulling M&Ms out of his pocket as a surprise at Azteca Mexican restaurant. Austin used them to jam out to the mariachi band the rest of the night.

After the boys played a round of golf, the whole family headed off to Boomers to go goofy golfing or as John puts it, putt-putt golfing. Maybe goofy golfing is an Arizona term. I could see Austin's wheels turning as he realized that when daddy goes golfing everyday that this is what he was doing. John might have a harder time getting out the door golfing now that Austin knows how fun it is. Yes, I am wearing a sweater in Florida. It's 70 degrees. It's practically freezing.

Tonight we had the Clarks over for dinner and they were nice enough to bring Guitar Hero over. The adults got a little into the game and when we realized the kids were being quiet they emerged with my Halloween costumes they had found in the closet. Captain Jack Sparrow and Cruella de Ville.

Goofy golfing might be an Az thing, but putt putt golfing is a Colorado thing. My hubby calls it putt putt and he's from CO too.

I didn't think kids that young would like golfing....maybe we should take Coop, that would be fun. Call me when you can, I just wanted to chat about when we come to visit. We are so excited to see you guys..what has it been like 2 years?

Aren't Grandpa's the BEST? We just took Branson and Harrison to California this last week to visit our "Papa" who has never met Harrison. I loved the "Bag Tag." I've never heard of it before. So funny. Hope you have a great day!
