Earlier this year my mother-in-law Sheri was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was one of those moments that literally stopped me in my tracks and made me reevaluate what it is important in life. If anyone could conquer cancer I knew it would be Sheri. There were definitely moments of despair and lots of what ifs, but for any of you that know Sheri you knew she would drop-kick and body slam cancer!
June 2008
Here's a typical example: She had treatment every morning and when she showed up she would be dressed to the nines. The nurses said, "You know most people just roll out of bed and come in their pajamas. You don't have to dress up."
Not Sheri. She had things to do and people to see and she was not going to let cancer get in her way. Thanks to early detection and lots of prayers she is officially CANCER FREE!Last Sunday the boys and I went to the Dolphin's stadium a couple hours early to hand out pink ribbons to everyone for breast cancer awareness month. I got sentimental as I passed them out this year because it had a whole new meaning to me. If you have people in your life who you love, tell them today.
Sheri, we love you and you are so good to us and to the boys. The boys love their pom-pom!
Austin and I being silly since we had time to kill.

Sheri IS a total spaz! I love her! I'm so happy to hear that she is cancer free!
Congrats to your mother-in-law, that's awesome. It's always so great to hear the happy-ending stories. P.S. I am in love with her pumpkin bread recipe. We've made it several times and love it. We also love it with chocolate chips. Of course.
That's so great to hear! Yes you're right - if there's one person who'd drop kick it, it'd be Sheri. How awesome!
Sheri is amazing and I thought about her last weekend as I ran in a 5k to earn money for breast cancer research and because of you I just told 5 people that I love them. I don't know their names but that's ok right!? LOL
We love you guys and cheer for John every time he plays. Take care. Awesome bunco group. If we ever get to hangout let's play.
thanks for all of your love and support as we ALL faced that trial this summer. looking back now, it's amazing that she rushed from diagnosis to cancer free...we are incredibly blessed.
I'm so happy that she is doing so well. My mother in law is going for her last radiation treatment today. She too has been amazing through it all...still teaching early morning seminary and working at the temple. What great examples. You and the boys look so cute ready for the Dolphin game. Living in the south has given us a new perspective on football!
She is an amazing lady NO DOUBT! I am so happy to hear she tackled it. It is wonderful to have people like her in your life.
