It's Official...

Barack Obama has officially been elected President of the United States. Although I am not an Obama advocate by any means I am moved by the progress our country has made to elect their first African American President. This is a history making moment that I never thought I would actually see. On the other hand I am terrified of the other less positive history making moments I may see during his term.

P.S. The smartest thing I have done all year was voting by mail. No lines at the polls, time to read over the ballot, so easy.

I am officially a soccer mom. Minus the minivan and sassy short hairdo. Here is Austin on his first day doing drills. He is with the 3-5 year olds so he is at the younger end of the spectrum. He loved it. I love being a soccer mom. He was so exhausted he fell asleep on the way home.

My older sister Julie officially got engaged on Halloween to Nathan Haws. All I have to say is HALLELUJAH! She is the last one to get married in our family and it will be a party on March 21st! Here's a picture of another historic moment...
The night they got engaged. She looks so pretty.

I am dying to be a soccer mom btw. That is my passion for my kids. How fun for you!

Enough already about the soccer moms... :) I've got the mini van, short hairdo, but not the attitude! We're already finished with our season because it's now the COLD/RAINY season up here and so DARK! Enjoy! I too share your sentiments with regards to the Obama-nation. It will be pretty scary.

Hey, I wonder if we are related to Nathan! Congrats to your sis for becoming a Haws ; ) I agree with you for being extremely frightened of our new President Barrack Hussein O"Bomb"a (saying the whole name just makes it sound even scarier)... hopefully 4 years won't be long enough to drive us to the ground..?

Christy, dang ....Jewels is going to be so jealous of Austin and soccer. I think Austin has genetics on his side to help him with the age issue. (Definitely from our side...jk)sl

Christy...what a great moment for you as a mom. Its so fun when our kids hit the world of sports. I'm excited to see that his first sport is soccer. I'm not prejudice or anything. I'm excited to hear how he does. Miss you guys!

Oh and I agree with you about Oboma, and by the way isn't it ironic that is name is O bomb a? I am sure many have already made the joke, but I just realized it!

Kristy,
Don't stress too much...we have 5 good weeks before he is swarn in to stock up our food storage and buy any hand guns that you have refused to allow your husband to buy...(pon shops don't make you register them HeHe!) and when we are forced to form our own civilian molicia I hear that Texas will be on our side! Just kidding! DON'T kill me Obama fans!
I will pray for him daily that he will be guided for our country...and then I will pray that the senate majorite will keep their voices low enough for him to hear the spirit!! (this hasn't eased any of your fears has it? mine either....)
