The 12 Last Days of 29!

John's 30th birthday is December 13th and he vetoed all big plans I had made for the big day because he didn't "want to spend money just to spend money." Frugality runs in both our veins so I understand but I wanted to do something big for such a big milestone.

So in effort to still make his day memorable we have started a countdown..."The Last 12 days of 29"! I can't take credit for the idea. My friend Steph's family did it for her and I thought it was so creative. So we have already had 3 days of fun. Every night we come in and sing the song and add one more of John's favorite things to the list. Let's catch you up...

Day #1
Day #2 Day #3

On the 12 Last Days of 29 my family gave to me...

3 juicy kisses...
2 turtle doves...
and a cup of Banana Pie icecream!

Stay tuned for the rest of the countdown!

OH MY GOSH Christy I hope you save that picture forever and ever! It is so sweet to see you all kissing John and the look on his face - so cute! What a great idea! I have quite awhile to count down Danny's 12 days til 30... because he's Brett's age! YIKES!!!! I'll just have to remember it for six years down the road I guess...

What a cute idea, although I want something BIG when I turn 30. The month before will be our 10th anniversary so Bryon better start saving his money=} For my husbands 30th we had a surprise party for him at Laser Quest. Super fun.

Christy this countdown idea is so dang cute. It makes us so much more special and real when it's lingered on like this...GREAT IDEA!
I can't thank you enough for sending that poem to me. It was probably the most tender set of words I've read since my miscarriage. It's amazing how if I were to read that even a day before I miscarried...it would NOT mean the same as it does now. I just sobbed and sobbed through it. I have felt this sweet baby already in my life and the experiences are so sacred that you can't even find words and as a matter of fact you don't even want to. You just want to keep it all to yourself.
I can't thank you enough...really.
