Embracing motherhood...

This Mother's Day I am so grateful for my mom and John's mom in our lives. Honestly though my thoughts have been consumed with the mothers that are no longer here. The night before Mother's Day I flipped to the last 30 minutes of Steel Magnolias. Big mistake. If you have every seen that movie you know it's a tearjerker even when you are not hormonal and thinking about those dealing without their mothers this year.

I wanted a picture with my boys after church which is always a hard task even with bribes and threats.
Last year I had a hard time sitting back and letting the boys do dinner. This year Barb, Heidi, and I had no problem relaxing while the boys were busy in the kitchen. Dinner...A-MAZ-ING. Dessert...strawberry shortcake with fresh whipped cream.

We should let them cook more often.

I am always trying to minimize my belly in pictures and John is always trying to make it look as big as possible. It must be a man thing.

He said, "For someone who loves being pregnant you sure try hard to hide your belly."

He's right.

So here I am...embracing motherhood...embracing my belly.

I feel like I am in the home stretch...9 weeks until I am induced.
