Brock by far enjoyed New Year's Eve more than all of us. He flapped his arms like a bird all night in excitement. His sparkler isn't even lit here and he is ecstatic. Poor guy is getting tubes put in tomorrow and his adenoids out. I'm nervous and excited. The kid sounds like Darth Vader when he breathes because his adenoids are so big. He's had so many ear infections he talks like he has been hearing underwater forever. Everything he says sounds like he is speaking in Morse code. I just hope he's happier.
We had the Clarks over for games and food. I wish I would have taken a picture of the spread of food we had. Anything and everything we were craving we had. It was our Last Chance Meal before hitting it hard in the gym and eating clean and healthy. I actually felt so doughy after eating so much on Christmas that I started then but took New Year's Eve night off for one last indulgence.
I was going to crappy fireworks at the store for $30. It was such a weak package that John said it would be more fun to light 30 one dollar bills and watch them burn. Just kidding. But we did mooch off our neighbor's display. John had to work the next day so we didn't plan on staying up for the clock to hit 12 but somehow we found ourselves watching the ball drop.
We have a lot to look forward to this year. 2009 we didn't do much...but we did spend a lot of time together as a family. Let's face it after 2008 we needed a low key year.
I remember when I was in 8th grade we had to write an essay on where we saw ourselves in 2010. My mom has the actual essay in one of my childhood bins back in AZ but I do remember a couple of things. I remember that I said Bill Clinton was going to be impeached (random). I also said that I would be married, to a hot guy of course (check), with 5 kids.
So I guess I'm a little behind by my naive expectations back then but the Lord knows what I can handle right now. Or maybe he knows something I don't and I am going to get pregnant with twins this year. Yikes. John and I need to start sleeping in separate rooms.
I can't wait for 2010. I have never been so excited to live life and to make memories.

Looks like fun!! You should call Krishawn's old doctor and get going on that twins thing!
Easton had tubes 2x and his adenoids out too. It has been a LIFESAVER! I think you will be amazed at how much it will change life for Brock. Happy new years. I would have loved twins on the first or second try, but not after the third. However getting 2 in on pregnancy would be SWEET! Good luck.
I am glad that everything went okay with Brock. And we had so much fun with you on New Year's. I feel bad that you were able to see the ball drop because we didn't even leave your house until 1130! I thought it was so great to include your 8th grade predictions! And can you even imagine having twins this year. I think I would be committed.
I don't know - twins are pretty fun :) But it is crazy beyond crazy at our house and we don't have 3 others, so you may want to hold off!
Thanks for your comment on our blog. We are all doing great and I'm lucky so far because my girls are really good nappers which gives me time to blog and check out my friend's blogs!

Ya know...that is EXACTLY why the separate bedrooms thing is a must for us! So far it's worked like a charm! :)
Hey, how's Brock? Had no idea he was going under the knife last week. You guys were at church so he must've done well....
