I don't know about you but I totally forgot that Easter fell on the same weekend as general conference. And even though the whole ward usually is sporting the same Children's Place Easter attire, I like their clothes because they are cute and cheap so I bought the boys outfits from there. Since there was no church on Easter, we opted for casual polos for the day and I'm returning their fancy church outfits (that we didn't wear) and buying something less Easter-y.
Earlier this week I got my kids all dressed to go to Kiddie Kandids so we could send the grandparents some pictures and they were closed. They went bankrupt! I can't believe it.

We had a little too much fun dyeing eggs. Brock preferred the hands on approach...just reaching in to grab the eggs when they were done.
And YES Wes' egg does have hair.
I may or may not have snipped it from the back of John's head.
He has plenty to spare...
For Easter the Clarks came over for dinner then watched the afternoon session of general conference with us. I was amazed that we were able to hear it with all the kids but they were so good and played in the backyard most of the time.
I loved conference this year. I feel like it was just what I needed to hear. It talked a lot about parenting and raising kids. I loved Elder Ballard's talk on Saturday. What are we doing as mothers to be example to our kids. Walking the walk instead of just talking the talk. How can we expect our daughters to dress modestly when we are wearing tiny bikinis? What are we teaching our children about the value money when we spend it mindlessly? I don't have daughters...maybe someday...but I know that most of my core values come from my mother. I do have sons that I can be an example to. Am I doing all I can in instill those in my children by my example?
I love this quote:
As Emerson once said, "Your actions are so loud, I cannot hear what you are saying."
Sugar High meets Sugar Low

I LOVE your matching outfits. Those Easter Eggs are so cute, that is a fun idea. YOu all did a good job looking like the faces you made too. I really think you need to get Wes into modeling. His dark hair and blue eyes are pretty amazing.
I loved the quote by Emerson too. I wrote it down so I could put it somewhere in my house. Conference was good for me too. I liked how they really focused sat. on women and parenting. Just what I needed.
So sweet and so true, Christy! I just love ya, lady. I love their matching outfits too. And...I just want to "gobble up" little Wes. What a doll he is!
Conference was FANTASTIC and I couldn't agree with you more about Elder Ballard's talk. Love ya!
