Last week I took a trip to Arizona...alone.
We were throwing my sister Julie a shower for her first baby and celebrating my mom's birthday. To all my Arizona friends I promise I will see you next time I'm down. You see when have a 5 hour flight there and back that left me with 48 hours for a shower and birthday. My sisters tend to get a little possessive of my time, especially when the times we are all together at the same time are few.
I didn't even know what to do with myself on the plane. I laughed when I heard the people next to me complain about flying. Let's see...no kids...no circus trying to get through security, no infant bouncing on your lap for 5 hours, actually being able to read a book...
hmm...sounds like a vacation to me.
And it was.
It was so nice to have some me time. I started reading Hunger Games and the Help on the plane. Then I tried to organize our pictures on our laptop. My digital life is a nightmare. No more. After 5 hours and carpal tunnel setting in, our pictures are finally organized!
Julie is SO ready to have her baby so we were trying to get all the last minute items. Julie and I went to Babies 'R Us to pick out a stroller. She didn't understand why she couldn't buy a cute carseat and separate jogging stroller. So after a short BABY 101 to explain the convenience of a "travel system" and the difference between a jogging and regular stroller we started test driving. Twenty stroller test drives later we found one. Baby Caleb we are ready for you!

Your sister looks cute!!! I can't imagine a flight without the circus!!
you and your sisters look like you had so much fun! you are very brave to take all the boys out to visit....i totally feel for you on the airplane! with all the kids it's almost impossible to even go to the bathroom!
Laura,
You're sweet but I'm not that brave. I left them home with John. I must have been confusing in my post. Haha!
Congrats on being alone for a few days! Sounds heavenly. :) Your sister looks great and she's really very TINY still! You all look like quite a fun bunch...if I could have been a fly on the wall, that would've been fun!

Fun!! Don't you just love the Hunger Games? It's a weird love, but I loved it! How nice to be able to get away for a couple days kid-free!!
I am reading Hunger Games right now as we speak!! and when I told my sister in law who recommended it to me she said "you should read 'The Help' next" I knew you and I were friends for a reason.... ha
