Super Mario Brothers Birthday

Do do do...do do do do...

That theme song is burned in my brain. YES, Brock is obsessed with Super Mario Brothers Wii.  So obsessed that he requested a Super Mario Brothers themed birthday. We really try to not let him play THAT much and growing up in a house where we didn't have any game system I felt a little hesitant to give into his wishes.

I tried to steer him towards a Diego party or a train themed party but NO he was set on it. After the horrifying Chick Fil A incident last week (don't ask) he can't play the Wii until he goes #2 on the potty instead of the playland. So I figured the least I could do was give him a Mario themed party to make his birthday exciting for him.

And yes I realize I am now going on 5 months of potty training...

I used my gigantic cupcake pan and threw together this cake and he was happy. All he wanted to do was go to Chuck E Cheese so we met some friends there and let him go to town on Skeeball. He throws it overhand which is scary and impressive at the same time.
"I'm Threeeeee!"
This pretty much sums it up...Brock at Skeeball and the boys playing basketball.

Brock at three

I sympathize with the pooping problems. Brigham is 3 1/2 and still has issues. Nick blames it on me because according to my mom that is what I did when I was little. I tell him there is no such thing as hereditary pooping of the pants! Love reading your blog and thanks for all the good food ideas you share!
