We found out on a Wednesday night that John had been selected for the Pro Bowl and that we would be leaving Monday morning. We spent the next couple of days going crazy trying to get someone to watch our kids and to get everything lined up and ready to go. We were so excited and so grateful for the trip. We have over 500 pictures and many memories to blog so this will be one of many posts. This post is mostly our surfing adventures on Waikiki beach. The waves were pretty small so John and I paddled out on the last day to a more remote place with bigger waves but it was so far our camera wouldn't reach. My shoulders were so sore for a week after that. Some dolphins came and swam out there with us.
Here we are finally in Honolulu after a 14 hour flight just in time for sunset on our balcony.
John and I are two landlocked kids who have always been obsessed with the ocean and surfing...so we knew that the time that we had would be spent mostly at the beach.

| These two were being goofy in the ocean. |

| Our last day surfing. What were left of John's nipples needed a rash guard after a week. |

Nice board John. It looks like you are trying to compensate for something?
