After we took the kids to Legoland, Sheri and Craig watched the kids so we could go to the Keys for a few days with our friends. We stayed at the Cheeco Lodge in Islamorada and it's a little secluded place in heaven. The bathtubs are even on the balcony in full view. The Keys are so laid back. We went golfing (if you can call it that) and ate our way through the town.
We first headed to Robbie's to feed the tarpon
who turned out to be not as harmless and everyone said they were. Kaela had her hand halfway up the tarpon and it's teeth got her.
No photoshopping here. Mother Nature is a beautiful artist.
Captain Dan and Kaela
Barracude. Those teeth are sharp. "Don't hurt your money makers."
At that magical hour in the afternoon everyone drives their boats up to this sandbar and hangs out in the shallow warm water.
Almost every restaurant we ate at was right on the beach. Sand in your toes, sunset in your view, and live music playing. I want to go back now.
