Islamorada

After we took the kids to Legoland, Sheri and Craig watched the kids so we could go to the Keys for a few days with our friends. We stayed at the Cheeco Lodge in Islamorada and it's a little secluded place in heaven. The bathtubs are even on the balcony in full view. The Keys are so laid back. We went golfing (if you can call it that) and ate our way through the town.

We first headed to Robbie's to feed the tarpon who turned out to be not as harmless and everyone said they were. Kaela had her hand halfway up the tarpon and it's teeth got her.

This is the owner of Cheeco Lodge. He really wanted a picture with the guys but I'm not really sure he understood what they did. He kept inviting the guys to come back on a Sunday even though they kept saying they were pretty busy on the weekends until January.
No photoshopping here. Mother Nature is a beautiful artist.
We rented a boat the second day so that the boys could do some fishing and we all went snorkeling. We pulled our boat right up to the restaurant to eat lunch. Then the boat broke down for a little bit so it was a long lunch.
Captain Dan and Kaela
Barracude. Those teeth are sharp.
"Don't hurt your money makers."
At that magical hour in the afternoon everyone drives their boats up to this sandbar and hangs out in the shallow warm water.

Almost every restaurant we ate at was right on the beach. Sand in your toes, sunset in your view, and live music playing. I want to go back now.
