Preschool Party and Girls Night Out

Austin isn't in preschool yet but his friend McKenna invited him to her preschool party this afternoon. John is at an away game up in New York and the Saturdays that he is gone seem to drag so we were very excited to go. They had a petting zoo, waterslides, a bounce house, snow cones, and cotton candy.

Austin's older woman!

Girls Night Out

A bunch of girls in our ward went to Cheesecake Factory to eat some grub and have some girl time. It was fun to chat but we had to wait an hour and a half after we had finished our food to get our checks and pay. I was very sympathetic since I was a waitress at Outback and know how hard it is to split a check 18 ways! As servers we always dreaded getting large parties of women because they tend to be high maintenance and we were no exception. "Can I have a water with no ice, a diet coke with a lemon and a lime, the chicken Madeira with no mushrooms, broccoli instead of asparagus, and the sauce on the side..." Try taking an order like that 18 times. It's all part of the job so I don't feel too bad. I think as a table we ordered over 20 pieces of cheesecake. I can feel my thighs growing bigger as we speak...

know exactly what you mean - saturdays can turn into the longest days ever! austin looks like he's having a great time...just associate "preschool" with snow cones and a bounce house and he'll be running out the door when the time comes for him to go to school!

Its always hard when husbands are away (mine is away again too). Becky J and I have done a couple girls nights when our hubbie's are gone. We just send the kids to grandma's house.

Christy,
I love that Austin can be friendly with the ladies in his diapers. Austin could care less! He is such a leader and he doesnt care what other people think. He has always been that way since he was a baby. He is to cool for school-even in his diapers! hahaha!! I love it! -Susan

How fun! I love having a girls night, or day, just anytime to get away and have some childless adult interaction! How fun that there are so many people in your ward to hang with!

right when I saw that picture I knew you guys were at cheesecake factory! mmmmmm! I love that place! I hear ya with the waitress thing. We had you at outback, and you're great! Sadly I did used to dread big tables with women, and when I go out with a bunch of girls I know they're dreading it too! It's nice having a girls night out, especially when you've had a long day, or a long week, good for you, I'm glad you had fun!
