"Pom-Pom"

Grandma getting ready to show the boys how shopping is really done!

This week my mother-in-law Sheri was here to help with Austin while I was gone. Austin started calling her "Pom-Pom" when he was younger and it just stuck! I really only had one day to hang out with Sheri so we made the most of it. We had a chance to meet up at the pool with Heidi (yes, it's still that warm here). Later that night we ate at the Grand Lux and had their yummy chocolate chip bread pudding (Ruby River still has the best bread pudding hands down) and did a little shopping at Sawgrass Mills. We stopped by the Rainforest Cafe where Austin had the scariest looking Elmo I have ever seen painted on his face. Sheri thank you so much for watching Austin and for reinforcing the potty training. For some reason having someone other than his parents tell him to go on the potty really hit home. He hasn't had an accident since you left! He keeps telling me "Pom-Pom" went bye-bye on an airplane. The boys miss you. Can't wait to see you in 2 weeks!

Christy,

Must be nice to have a "take-in-charge" kind of mother inlaw. You are really lucky to have Sheri.
We love your Halloween music!
We dance to it everyday! Give us more please!-Susan

Christy, I love your site! It is so fun to have family in town. My mom has been here for the past week and I am already dreading the countdown till she goes home, which isn't for another week, but still...

How fun to have a nice mother in law. Mine always does nice things and then we have to listen to her either brag about it or complain about it. But it is nice having someone you can trust with the kids.

Wow you're right...that is one scary Elmo. I'm so glad you had such a good time in Nauvoo. My family did that the year before my brother and I got married (that sounded funny, we didn't marry each other:) and it was the best. Your boys are darling!
