Tryptophan hangover and the BYU game

I know, I know...more beach pictures. But I couldn't keep looking at that gravy, could I? The day after Thanksgiving we went to the beach with the Clarks (Heidi, your pics turned out better so I stole some, hope you don't mind). John had to work so I felt a little guilty laying on the beach recovering from my Tryptophan hangover. It was such a nice day. The water was breathtaking. Brock discovered he could eat the sand and I'm such a good mom that I let him because it made him happy.

Brock was obsessed with Ashlyn's swimsuit straps.

My boys supporting Uncle Brett!

Saturday we went over to the Becks to watch the BYU/Utah game with a couple of guys on John's team who used to play for Utah. John's brother Brett plays for BYU and got a shout out at the end of the game on T.V. as one of the players that stepped it up! Although this year's game was fun to watch, last year's suspenseful ending was hard to top. The cougars came out victorious!

Brock is soooo cute! We talked about going to the beach all summer but we never did. We've actually had some cool weather the last few days here it's been nice. Stan and Bryon have never hunted together which is weird because they were roomies when Becky and I were dating them. I think Bryon and Stan have only seen each other once since we moved back to AZ.

Okay, that picture of Brock eating the sand is like the cutest thing ever! And I really hope you had to look up how to spell tryptophan, I would never in a million years have been able to spell it!

I am so glad you has such a great Thanksgiving!!! I must admit James and I were not so happy to learn of BYU's victory!! I am so envious that you spent black Friday on the beach and I was shopping in all the madness!

John,

Not sure if you remember me or not from the mission, but I ran across your blog and thought I would say hi! I am not even sure how I got here, just kept hitting links and saw your name so thought I would see what you are up to. I was at the BYU-Utah game and was so happy we pulled it out...although it was scary there for a bit. I saw on the re-broadcast how at the beginning they mentioned you and how you were at the Beck's house watching the game. Then I watched the game on Monday night...what horrible playing conditions. You did get a shout out, though, for your flawless snap into your own endzone! Great job!

I was so happy to have you in my first apartment in the mission field because you were so cool to me and made sure my trainer didn't mess with me! Anyway, congrats on everything. Feel free to check out our blog if you ever get a chance. We are at derekandmelinda.blogspot.com

Go Dolphins!

Keep in touch,
