Merry Christmas...Ho Ho Ho!

There's a background to the post of this title. Maybe it's a Florida thing, but everywhere we go people say, "Merry Christmas" followed by "Ho, ho, ho". Austin caught on really fast and has been saying it constantly. Even John and I say it in unison without thinking.

John and I woke up early so that we could get Austin's reaction to Santa leaving him a bike. John's parents didn't want to miss out on the fun so they asked that we web cam them so they could see the action. It was 5:30 AM their time...that's one loving grandma and grandpa. Austin came out a little cautious and wasn't sure if the bike was for him. I'm not sure if his reaction was worth the early wake up call but we appreciate that they cared enough to wake up so early.
Is this really for me?

Austin got a camera and was our photographer for the day.

Daddy setting up the race car track.

We had a Christmas breakfast of homemade cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole. John and I were up late so after the Christmas high had died down and Brock was asleep I passed out face down in the middle of the living room floor while playing cars with Austin and John passed out on the couch. Since we napped so long we ended up having Christmas dinner pretty late. Everything turned out really well! John made some killer mash potatoes, the turkey was moist and I am now a stuffing lover (thanks Becky for the tips).

How you know your kid watched the Polar Express too many times this Christmas season...

Okay so I haven't looked in for a while so I am 4 posts behind. First of all Gorgeous family pictures. I love them you all look soo good. Your Mom took some really good shots. I love the poses with John and the boys. Christmas eve sounded like you had fun, I totally forgot to set out the cookies...oops. Chritmas day looked great too. Austin looks soo big, he seems so much older than Easton, I guess 8 months does make a difference at this age though. You all look great we miss you and hope to see you this winter.

Looks like you had a great Christmas, I love having it with family, but I will always cherish the Christmases that we spent out of AZ with just our little family.
Glad your stuffing turned out well!

So fun. Can Austin pedal his bike? Mitchell still won't pedal and it drives Aaron nuts! I LOVE your new blog look BTW. The background and picture headers are great! Did you create them, or did you find them online? Allison is almost 9 months old. Yep, she's crawling around now...so...I took the tree and everything down yesterday to save our sanity! Glad you had a great Christmas. Love your family pics.
