Stars and Strikes

This week we went to a charity bowling event called "Stars and Strikes" to raise money for children with cystic fibrosis. Defensive end Vonnie Holliday was hosting the event and told us to bring our boys since he was bringing his but they ended up getting sick so we were the only ones with kids there. A lot of the players have nannies but for us it takes a little more effort to get a sitter on such short notice. It was an upscale bowling alley with a full restaurant, big screen TVs everywhere, and nice leather couches for each lane. I was a little shocked walking in to see the waitresses wearing tiny bikini tops with short skirts since it was a fundraiser for kids. If I didn't know better I would have thought I was at Hooters. Not that I was too shocked since it was down in South Beach where clothes are scarce and the "plastic" is abundant if you know what I mean. Since it was in South Beach there was quite a turn out and for some reason all the players ended up in our lane. It was kind of embarrassing because when I wasn't looking Austin would try to steal the player's bowling balls or grab onto their legs mistaking them for dad. John and Jason Taylor were neck and neck but in the end JT won. These guys are competitive at everything!

John bowling a strike!

the boys are so cute bowling...it would be nice to go to a luxe bowling alley! wherever we go it's always a little shady...and they only have the hard plastic bench at the end of the lanes with gum residue stuck on the side or something disgusting. kyle and tyler love bowling - maybe we can all go sometime.

So sorry about not getting back to you about the recipe. I haven't had a computer for a week. I hope it turned out okay! I love your new page, it is so cute.

How fun, I havn't been bowling in a few years... more like 8 but that's ok! What a good cause to help, and when I read the guys name that put it together it was really weird, I hardly ever see that name, but that's my mom's name!

Sorry!! I was vague about the name thing, my mom's name is Vonnie Denham. Not Holiday silly! Haha, I just never see the name Vonnie anywhere!

Okay, I have been totally lazy about signing in and commenting on your blog but I am always looking at it. I absolutely love your background! You make my blog look so lame. Oh well. Anyway, I was actually just thinking about calling you and wishing you a Happy New Year but you are probably out and about doing something fun. I will call you tomorrow. The bowling sounds so much fun and I just love all of your new entries, even if I didn't comment. Okay this is getting kind of long, this is what happens when I don't talk to you in a week. See you in a couple days!
