Eighteen minutes to drive to 24hour fitness and drop the kids off at the gym daycare.
Eighteen sweaty minutes on the treadmill before being pulled off by the daycare staff informing me Brock is crying because he misses his mama.
Eighteen long minutes to drive back home.
Eighteen holes later John comes home from golf. We eat dinner then head to Target in search of a Wii.
Eighteen wipes was not enough to clean up Austin who, as he would put it, "spit all over himself" (threw up) as we pulled up to Target.
Eighteen is the number of times I expect to be up tonight cleaning up carrots and chicken nuggets which I've already seen puked five times in the toilet since we've been home. I know, TMI. Just wanted to share our misery.

Ahh...yes...the joys of parenthood. Isn't that always great? I feel your pain and hope your night and day won't be too miserable!
My kids are puking too!!! YAY for puke. I am so excited to come and see you guys!!! I am not breast feeding anymore so I am scott free. and sorry I didn't want to chat on the web cam, they freak me out for some reason. I guess I am not much of the web cam sort. I think I will stick to blogging.
Is it terribly, terribly wrong that your misery makes me laugh. Thanks for making me feel better about being single and childless!!
Oh Wow! You poor thing! Hope things are getting better! We'll chat with you on the web cam! Give us a call! A
Oh, yuck. That is definately NOT fun! Hope your little guy is feeling better soon.
Sounds fun! We had a day about like yours, except Rick didn't get to play golf. I did get called out of the gym because Tate was sick to his stomach and my diaper bag was out of diapers...(they had already changed him twice...) and then Tate threw up in our car on the way to Target....Stomach flu, Target, not finishing your work-out...we hear ya!
That is horrible!! Someday soon hopefully you will be laughing at this blog!!!
Yuck. At least he is making it to the toilet :). And I know this isn't the point of your post, but were you able to get your Wii? We got one for Christmas and are having a blast with it! I can recommend the game "Playground." It is one Greg and I have fun with, but also one that Tanner can play and get into as well.
Soo sorry! Puking is the worst, sooo messy. I much prefer being up at night due to an ear infection, throw in the numbing drops and back to sleep we go.
I really feel for you.
That sounds all too familiar. The only thing different is that my kids don't miss me while I am working out but the reason they call me out is because one of my kids are "stinky." That is too funny he said he "spit all over himself." Kids say the darndest things! Good luck and I hope you get some sleep!
So sorry for what President Hinckley would call "a good rotten day!" Unfortunately we have to have those as mothers every once in awhile! :-) I just switched my blog to a private one, and would love to invite you to it. However, I just realized I don't have your email address. Feel free to send it to belaybob@hotmail.com. Have a great day! Thanks for saying hi on my blog!
LOVE IT! BTW, did you get a Wii? The kids love it and B got the guitar hero for Christmas..what a stud he is let me tell you! Oh and at least you have a gym, cokeville isn't quite there yet. Nice.
Your misery cracked me up!!! We've all been there! HOpe it gets better soon!
Christy, Thanks for the graphic details- I just lost my appetite. Maybe thats a good thing. -Sue
ps-pretty clever poem.
LOL You're so funny Christy! I hope your poor little boy gets better soon.
I can totally relate. Carson was throwing up this week....I hate getting interupted in the middle of doing the treadmill. Glad John was able to have fun! Hopefully Brock didn't get sick too.
