Austin's Birthday Party...Arghh Matee!

I don't know if I'm a masochist or just plain insane but I thought it would be fun to have everyone over (26 people all together) for Austin's birthday/bbq 4 days after we moved and a week and a half after surgery. Maybe it was because I was on pain killers but I had a great time. It helped us get unpacked a little quicker and we loved having everyone over. Austin insisted on a pirate themed party and did not let go of his pirate hook all night. I thought providing swords was asking for trouble but we had hats, hooks, pirate music, and tattoos. The highlight of the night was a treasure hunt lead by my mom.
The treasure hunt.

I seriously don't know how this cake turned out because I ran out of time and just threw it together.

Baby Weston sneaking a feel.

After everyone left we gave Austin his present from his grandparents and us. He loved it! We even strapped in Brock really tight and let them cruise around the yard.

Wow, what a fun party! How are you liking your new house? You are ambitious taking all that on with your surgery & moving. I can't believe you had your house together 4 days after moving in, that's amazing.
Happy birthday Austin!!

Amazing. You must have been one busy mom creating a birthday party while putting together your house. As with everything you guys do, it looks like you had a lot of fun!

Wow, you're definitely more ambitious than I am! I'm thinking we won't be leaving the house, let alone inviting anyone over, for at least a month after we move in! Easton has been begging for a "friend" birthday party this year, but I think we'll just have a family one. I just don't have the energy!

Shiver me timbers! Happy Birthday! So fun that he likes pirates. Mitchell's so into cars, it's fun to see a boy into something else! How do you like your new house? We snooped on Zillow.com and saw pics of the home just before you moved into it. It's beautiful! Congrats!

I love how my sister is able to post a comment before I am...Dang. Happy B'day to Austin! Boston and Charli have been begging for a little car...we've decided they need to master their bikes first or else they will never be interested in them again! Congrats on the new house! Your weekends will never ever be the same...our list of things to fix or do around the house never gets shorter, just longer and longer! It must be so nice to have lush green grass this time of year...ours is crunchy and brown, yay Arizona.

Looks like a great party! You are an awsome mom to pull all of that off after surgery and moving. The cake is incredible. My Easton who is 4 is determined to be a pirate when he grows up. Austin looks so adorable all decked out in his pirate costume. We had a great trip to Disney.
