Mom's 70th Birthday Trip

Although I missed my boys, my trip seemed so short. I loved being able to read books on the plane. We started off the trip with Julie's birthday dinner at the Mandarin and then headed to Shelly's house for cake and ice cream.
I've never been to Womens Conference and it was quite chaotic with 30,000 women trying to jump on shuttles to go from class to class. We were able to catch a John Bytheway class and even heard President Monson speak.

Here are 2 of my 4 sisters: Shelly and Susan. It's hard to believe that one is 10 years older and one is 20 years older than me and yet we're so close.

I was able to meet up with my friend Sharee after President Monson's talk and finally introduce her to my mom and sisters. She's been such a good friend to me and I'm sure my family is happy to finally put a face to the name.

Sandra, Janece, me, Shelly, Susan, Julie, Aimee, mom, and Teara

Later that night we stayed at a hotel where we all shared memories of mom, presented her mother's ring, and tipped our the valet guy way too much because we kept forgetting things in our car. We also were able to see the Emma Smith movie. Only in Utah.

My niece-in-law Aimee had her baby shower Saturday at Macaroni Grill.

I was thinking it would be fun to get a bunch of girls to meet at Women's Conference next year. Mark your calendar and let's do it!

Aww, sounds like fun! How is it that I always manage to miss Women's Conference? It's like I completely don't pay attention to anything going on at church or something.. fill me in next time!

Count me in for next year!!! I'm so glad you got Lasik!! It's something that I've been thinking about but I'm such a chicken with my eyes. After my last delivery I figure I can anything on now. haha Just have to stop nursing. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions when I get closer.

That is so cool that you're so close to your sisters despite a big age difference. I can't wait to be able to do things like this with my girls!

What an ideal birthday trip- nothing sounds funner than that. SERIOUSLY. I can't believe the gap between you sisters and how close you still are. That's awesome.
Yes- Todd is my brother. HOw do yo know him? Did you graduate that year? My husband, Brett Martin, graduated 99 as well.
I LOVE Alicia, your neice. She is so sweet, yes as you said, a little astray, BUT I'VE ALWAYS JUST LOVED HER! My sister Haylie is good friends with Celeste.
Darling meaningful post. You're so photogenic.

What a fun way to celebrate your mom's birthday. I am glad you had a good time at women's conference, even if you had to shove your way into those shuttles! I guess we Mormon women can get a little ruthless when general authorities are involved!
