Tropical Storm Fay is on her way. They will know in the next couple of hours if it will be a hurricane. I think I am all prepared. The only thing that scares me is that we are supposed to be on the side of the hurricane that has all the tornadoes! In fact the news just reported a couple by in the next city over. They are even letting John come home from training camp for the night. That says a lot!

Three years ago I was on my way to visit John here in Florida (I was living at my moms until we got settled). All of the flights were canceled due to Hurricane Katrina's arrival to Florida except for mine. The pilot announced that he was "feeling lucky". I was desperate to see John so Sheri, me, and Austin got on the plane. As we started our descent we were flying right over the ocean and I could see white caps on the water. We started getting closer and closer to the water and as we began to land the wind caused our plane to start dipping from side to side. I swore our wing tip was going to touch the water. The whole plane was SCREAMING! I will never forget that landing.
If you don't hear from me, it probably means that I am without power. I am hopeful that Fay will weaken and not be a big deal but you never know!

Good luck guys. I know sometimes even a severe storm here is enough for me to handle. Hopefully it will all blow over quickly and quietly.

We had a storm the 3rd day after we moved into Mississippi and it knocked down 3 of our trees. I can not believe the picture of John and that huge tree. Good Luck!

Scary to say the least. Glad you feel prepared..that makes things a little better in mentally handling a situation. Take care and keep us updated!
