Our Thanksgiving

Growing up what I remember is waking up on Thanksgiving morning to the smell of turkey already cooking and to my dad sitting at the kitchen counter peeling a billion potatoes for the billion people coming over for dinner. This Thanksgiving I woke up early and stuck the turkey in the oven and started peeling potatoes. I even tried to enlist Austin but after he managed to gauge his hand after 10 seconds with the peeler I assigned him to keeping Wes entertained instead.

Killing time before dinner. It's amazing how much an umbrella can entertain.

I was so relieved the timer finally popped out of the turkey. Serious anxiety everytime I cook a turkey.

We put our leaves in so we could all sit together. Not sure where the men were in this picture. Probably doing something manly. The only reason I have pictures is that Lindsay grabbed my camera and started taking some. If you look closely you will notice that Brock has chocolate chips and cheetos on his plate. Hey...he was grumpy and we were just trying to appease him so we could have a pleasant meal.

It's fun to bring each family's tradition's together: the Stevens brought a fruit salad dessert and sparkling juice and we had a Larson favorite, cherry cheese pie and lots of Martinellis.

We had our friends the Stevens over and their daughter made these cute placecards.
