It's kind of fitting that I completely forgot to post Father's Day seeing that every year for Father's Day it seems John gets the short end of the stick. We are either at Lake Powell or traveling during the holiday. This time we had just gotten back from Lake Powell the night before so I didn't have much time to buy or do anything for him. Thankfully, he's low maintenance.
Traditionally we always give him peanut M&Ms and Mountain Dew as a gift which was pretty tricky since Mountain Dew is considered contraband at my mom's house. It was fun to be with my dad on Father's Day which hasn't happened in probably 10 years. The girls (and Brent) made about 20 pounds worth of steak for the guys and with Brent's grilling tips they tasted awesome.
John's a great dad and has WAY more patience than I do. He teaches me a lot.

Fun to be with your dad on Father's day. I always feel like James does not get that much on Father's day but he really does not care! Happy late birthday I think the 30's are great but I do freak out about 40's eek!
Thank goodness for low maintenance fathers/husbands right? I really should make more of an effort and I don't even have the excuse that we are traveling. Love to see your boys, they are getting so big! I miss all the celebrating of holidays with you guys!
