My surgery went by quickly and before I knew it I heard the cry of our baby girl, a cry a little higher pitched than the boys. Gracie Belle is what we named her, after my grandma Grace. She has dark hair and the signature dimple in the chin that all of our kids have when they are born. She reminds us of Austin as a baby.

To say the boys were excited was an understatement.
They each took about 2,345 turns holding her.
Austin has been a huge help with her.

"NO HOLD HER!"
By the second day, they still held Gracie but they were more excited about using the remote to move the bed up and down and watching cartoons.
Usually with a C-section you stay in the hospital 4 days. I was feeling pretty good so my doctor said I could go home early. I wasn't sure if it was better to be at the hospital with people coming in and out all night or at home with my crazy boys. But I felt a little cabin fever and felt like I was missing out on Christmas so I opted to go home early. After 3 days of awful food, I made John stop at Five Guys Burgers on the way home. That was supposed to be my last meal before I had the baby but we never got around to it.
We had a lot of friends come by to see Gracie. I think they were just as excited as us to add a girl to the mix. Brandon and Katie...don't they look like naturals?
