The President's "Ride"...

John just got back from playing the Washington Redskins (Dolphins lost 16-13). His teammate, Jay Feely, had a connection with the Secret Service guys at the White House and they let them check out the President's limo last night. And no, the President was not in the limo at the time! Unfortunately, he was busy.

Jay Feely, John, and Brandon Fields checking out the President's ride (the First Lady's limo is in the back)

My handsome hubby giving me a shout out from the President's car phone!

If it looks tight in the limo it is...the whole thing is made out of the same material as a space shuttle and the walls of the limo are over a foot thick. One window weighs a whopping 800 lbs! They use the same kind of hinges you would use on a safe at Fort Knox for the doors!

Hi Christy, it's John's long lost cousin from... well, Arkansas. It was fun to find your blog and see what you guys have been up to. Your boys are so so cute and look like a lot of fun.

It looks like you guys are living it up and having a great time. Whenever we talk to Grandma or Sheri they fill us in on your adventures. And from the looks of this blog it looks like John just had another one.

We have just entered the land of blog so it will be fun to keep in touch.

I was excited to see I actually had comments on my page this morning. Funny what I look forward to now! :)

I have to give credit where it's due. I have an amazing friend who helped me out with cutesifying the blog. You'll have to check her blog out, it is the Bird Family link from my page. The title is digital scrapbooking, there is no way I would be able to pull something like that off.

It was good to hear from you. And I'm glad to know we can keep in touch.

That's so awesome that he not only got to see the president's ride but actually sit inside and use the phone....how sweet he called you!!

Yes..I wanted to beat the twins after I shed a couple of tears and yelled at the top of my lungs j/k. All I could do was shake my head, laugh and grab a camera!!

How Cool!! Travis just turned 32. That is crazy that you remember his 23rd birthday? Did we do something fun? I am the Beehive advisor, it is a lot of fun. Hopefully, no more sleep overs for either of us for awhile. I am still trying to get caught up on my sleep.

Tell John that as I was driving by Invesco field the other day, I saw a sign that said: "Long snapper wanted, experience a plus... apply within." So you might want to pass on the word...
