We came out to Arizona a week early for all of the SuperBowl activities. John participated in three charity golf tournaments. Of course I made him take the camera in case there were any celebrity sightings. Unfortunately no one was really there, mostly just other players, but John did see these guys below and thought he knew them from Florida. He couldn't figure out if they were in our ward or what. It finally clicked when one of the guys said as he was swinging, "This was a lot harder when I was 150 lbs heavier." The Biggest Loser winners, Jim and Bill. He also was grouped with the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, Ken Whisenhunt.
John of course is willing to do anything to help a charity especially when it benefits kids but he definitely gets a lot of personal enjoyment out of the charity golf tournaments as well. Not only does he LOVE golfing but they often give him a nice gift bag that usually has something in there for the Mrs. He busted out a jewerly box for me after the last tournament and I was so excited opening the box until I saw the most hideous watch I have ever seen. It took me a couple of minutes to realize it was made of all chocolate. Even better! These tournaments usually last a long time depending on the format. Sometimes 8-9 hours! So whenever I ask him when he thinks he might be done he's never sure but he gives me a wink and says, "It's for the kids..." Who can argue with that?

Between the watch and "its for the kids..." you guys crack me up. I am also a big "Biggest Loser" fan, so it was fun to see the pics. Glad you could go to AZ for all the fun!
Gotta be honest, that's really weird they put a chocolate watch in a jewelry box. But hey, ya can't complain. Was it good? That's funny about the Biggest Loser guys. I love that show! Looks like you guys had a great time in AZ. *Hugs*

Christy & John, Thanks for taking me to the superbowl party. It was nice to get a glimpse of the glam life you have. It was fun having you in AZ- sorry Jewels got so sick. She loved Brock and Austin to death. They are such fun cousins to have! Hope to see you soon. We will have to do Oreganos for sure next time you come to AZ!

Oh my gosh!!! The Biggest Loser is my favorite show right now (since the Office is not on), I am totally jealous! That is really neat that he has opportunities to help like that! Good for him!
