SuperBowl NFLPA party

John and I went to the NFL Player's Association SuperBowl party in Scottsdale. John was able to get one extra ticket so my sister Susan could be a witness to the craziness of the party. The security for this party was unbelievable. As we walked to the first security checkpoint the guard asked for our picture IDs and my heart stopped as I realized I had left at home (45 minutes away). Susan had her ID and insisted that I take it since we look a lot alike and she would sit in the car. I really wanted her to come so after probably a half hour John got in touch with the director of the party who had to personally walk us through 3 security checkpoints so we all could go. After the third security checkpoint there was a metal detector. I had skimmed the invitation earlier and noticed that it said NO CAMERAS ALLOWED. ANY CAMERAS WILL BE CONFISCATED. To which I thought it's not worth going if you can't get any good pictures. As I pulled out my camera for the metal detector I thought John was going to have a heart attack. I had already broken the rules once by getting in with no ID and now I was bringing in contraband! John didn't say anything but had the same look he had when Austin wrote all over our walls with permanent marker. After discussing whether we should pull out our memory card so that we would at least have our pictures after they took our camera we decided to just throw all our phones, keys, and other items in the bowls for security on top of the camera and hope they didn't see it. We made it through without being caught! After that I was too scared to take any pictures so you'll have to settle for the classic pose by my mom's fireplace. Major flashbacks from prom pictures in high school. We got inside and I don't think I've ever seen so many gorgeous girls with so little clothes on. I think my dress had enough material to equal about 3 of theirs. I felt like a nun which isn't much different from living in Florida where 99% of the time I have the most clothes on in the room. Imagine 20 girls in the middle of the dance floor when Beyonce's song came on and them all doing the Beyonce shake in their itty bitty dresses. It was quite the sight! We didn't stay long because unless you drink, which we don't, the only thing to do is people watch. I knew I had London's Run in the morning so we called it a night.

What excitement! I can totally see you sneaking your camera in there. And you looked gorgeous. I laughed so hard about the prom comment, it brought back memories! And by the way, I love your mom and dad's picture of George Washington. That is one of my favorite pictures of all time.
