No Girls Allowed

John's brother Ryan came out to visit with his son Tyler for SuperBowl week. I loved having a house full of boys. It seemed so natural to have 2 more Denney boys in the mix doing boy stuff all day. They were really easy going and fun to have. Poor Tyler had a little stomach bug but was still ready to do anything. We felt bad because we kind of struck out on the activities while they were here.
Strike 1: Fishing in the backyard on the boat.
They tried several times and never caught a single fish. Usually they are biting like crazy! Ryan did catch a duck though...does that count?

Strike 2: Skunked trying to see gators on the airboat tour.

We never been on an airboat tour without seeing some gators! Never. The boys made up for it after the ride by making out with some baby alligators at the alligator exhibit.

I was at a fashion show for the SuperBowl so I was just happy that all my kids made it home without being eaten by an alligator.

Strike Three: We picked the only rainy day to go to the beach.
The weather forecast earlier in the week said Friday would be the warmest and driest day of the week. Not only was it rainy but there were Portuguese man of war jellyfish all over the beach and in the water. The boys still had fun digging in the sand.

Then we went to Jaxson's, a famous icecream parlor. We intended to split one of their huge sundaes. The waitress must of misunderstood us because she brought us a tiny sundae. Oh well...I guess we are skinnier for it.

They did a little golfing...

Check out all these boys...6 boys stuffed in our Tahoe. Barb and I took the boys to Monkey Joes while Ryan and John were at a golf tournament at Turnberry.

Tyler and Austin were like two peas in a pod. From using each other as punching bags when they were toddlers to sharing the same interest in golfing, legos, Star Wars, and most of all Super Mario Brothers for the Wii. They were OBSESSED! Of course while Tyler was here we let them do their cousin thing and play a ton but now we have Austin on a 12 step program to get him off the game!

We had a great time and what I realized most of all that we need to make a bigger effort to get the cousins together.

So much fun. I love the 6 boys in the car. That is how my car looks often. I LOVE IT. They look like brothers. I need your 12 step program too. E is addicted. If I would have know what an addiction it would be for him I would have thought twice.

Sounds like fun! And it really doesn't matter what happens as long as you're with cousins! We miss ours...
