After all the ER trips, John and I were ready to head to Vegas for some R&R at the Teammates for Kids charity with Garth Brooks. We hit up the Rio buffet for some crab legs and Serendipity for their frozen hot chocolate which surprisingly tastes just like...you guessed it...frozen hot chocolate.
And just in case you were wondering what $20 of frozen hot chocolate looks like....here you go.
We checked out the sites and I became the queen of falling asleep anywhere we went. 10 seconds into a cab ride my mouth would be open, head back, sound asleep. I guess pregnancy will do that. John said I nap more frequently than a newborn.
| We caught the Penn and Teller show which was entertaining. |
I've been fighting a cough for over a month now. So after all the good food and trying to squeeze in a dress that I should probably retire to my closet, I let out a cough during Garth's concert and felt a huge rrrriiipppp. My zipper had ripped from the top all the way to the top of my booty.
I had nowhere to hide. I sat with my back pressed against the seat until the end of the concert but I knew I had to go up after the concert with all the wives to take a group picture. Luckily, I heard a wife behind me talking about how she was also pregnant and could barely fit in her clothes. I leaned back and whispered, "Yeah....I just split the zipper in my dress." She happened to have a huge shawl and offered it to me.
So John and I slipped out into this side room with a curtain where he Macguyvered the zipper back into place. I'm sure with all the giggling people thought we were doing the naughty.
